Greenpeace Aotearoa New Zealand...Foodstuffs

Foodstuffs the owner of the 'Pams Brand' has announced it will introduced sustainably caught Pole and Line Tuna to its canned range by the end of the year.

Foodstuff's also says, "it is actively investigating alternative options" to FAD- caught Tuna.

However,  SEALORD's....

New Zealand's largest canned Tuna Brand, appears to be taking the opposite approach through 3 different e-mails from their General Manager of Marketing saying, "Sealord promotes sustainability but there is "no simple answer" to the By-Catch problem...Really! We have the solution for Sealord.
                                "Stop sourcing FAD-caught tuna".

Thats the simple step that Sealord, and the other Brands, would initiate if they were serious and honest enough about 'Tuna Sustainability'.

Greenpeace Aotearoa New Zealand will in due course relate to the company, that it can "take this step" its just a matter of "making the decision" to do so.

Kiaora.
